About The Position

Perform CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and established imaging protocols. Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate and maintain CT scanners and X-ray equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols. Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain relevant medical history prior to imaging procedures. Administer contrast materials when required, in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or complications. Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and utilize appropriate shielding to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self. Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting them to the radiologist for interpretation. Document procedures, patient information, and imaging results accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. Maintain imaging equipment and report malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly. Follow infection control and safety protocols in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient care. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
  • CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or required.
  • Valid California Radiologic Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health Radiologic Health Branch.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
