About The Position

As a Radiology Technologist – SNHH , you will perform all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology, producing high-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This includes trauma, orthopedic, fluoroscopic, contrast, and invasive procedures, along with maintaining compliance with safety standards, regulations, and departmental protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program (or equivalent) and eligible for ARRT(R) certification within one year of hire.
• Licensed by the State of NH Board of Medical Imaging, the State of MA as a Radiologic Technologist, or both, depending on location.
• Able to multitask, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and operate imaging technology systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate, professional patient care.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical information, confirm orders, and obtain necessary consents.
• Perform diagnostic imaging exams and invasive procedures according to established protocols.
• Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic and contrast procedures.
• Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast agents per protocol.
• Operate and transport portable X-ray equipment.
• Inspect images for quality and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
• Ensure patient safety by following ALARA radiation safety guidelines, using shields/aprons, and safe patient-handling techniques.
• Demonstrate proficiency with RIS and PACS systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Support training and onboarding of new staff.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care at all times.
