Job Description: Radiology Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs and produces high-quality exams on patients of all ages including portable and C-Arm procedures in the OR. Accurately positions body parts, uses appropriate exposures, and collimation. Utilizes Meditech to complete all necessary paperwork, edits exams as necessary. Reviews images in PACS to and follows procedures to prepare a study for interpretation. Practices radiation safety measures for patients, staff and self. Assists radiologist with exams and with administration of contrast agents to patients of all ages, following department protocol. Performs related radiology services functions in an accurate and timely manner. Cleans equipment after every patient. Stays motivated to keep patients cared for in a timely manner. All work areas are kept stocked and organized. Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and the medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Helps to supervise Radiologic Technology students. Provide clinical advice to Radiology clerical staff as needed. Performs related duties, assists others as needed for the smooth operation of the department. Assists with cloud PACS medical imaging sharing and assists with burning and uploading CD's.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
  • State of Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist and Technician License
  • BLS Certification
  • ARRT within 1 year of acquiring MA License.
