About The Position
You'll join a patient-focused imaging team where you'll perform diagnostic imaging studies for patients of all ages using state-of-the-art equipment. This direct hire position exists to deliver accurate, compassionate radiographic care while maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety and image quality. Your technical expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in one of New York's most scenic healthcare settings.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or AAS in Radiologic Technology
- NYS Radiologic Technologist license (required)
- ARRT certification (required)
- Completion of a recognized 24-month Radiology program
- New Rad Tech graduates welcome
Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic, portable imaging, and related equipment with precision to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Position patients accurately and ensure adherence to imaging procedure guidelines
- Apply radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself
- Utilize RIS, CR, and PACS systems for data entry, image review, and troubleshooting
- Administer contrast media safely and recognize and respond to adverse reactions
- Maintain infection control standards according to Universal Precautions
- Work a Monday–Friday schedule with possible rotating call and weekend coverage
- Respond to emergency call rotations for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
