About The Position

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team at the brand new Memorial Urgent Care location! We are currently offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for this position! What You'll Do: Provide technical radiological services as requested by patient’s physician to assist in the diagnoses of disease, injury and or the detection of foreign bodies through performance of radiographic procedures, including, but not limited to, chests, abdomens, and extremities; etc. Operate all imaging equipment in the prescribed manner to provide high quality diagnostic images, including but not limited to utilizing proper technique, proper positioning of patient for procedure, collimating, shielding, use of lead markers, and the immobilization of the patient using instruction and/or equipment developed for this purpose; perform clinical responsibilities including biohazard waste monitoring; quality control methods; provide pre-exam instructions, verifies patient/caregiver understanding of instructions; Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) scans patient reports; maintain film files Accompany patients to exam/procedure room; assist patients as needed with walking, perform injections, splinting/casting, and point of care testing on patients at the director of a provider; collect specimens, prepare patients and rooms for exam, etc.; collect & documenting patient history; perform screenings per provider guidelines; assist provider with various procedures; sterilization, instrument wrapping and autoclaving; checking vital signs; prescription verifications with provider’s orders; apply dressings; biohazard waste disposal and monitoring; therapeutic modalities; instruct patients with assistive devices, body mechanics, and home care; laboratory procedures; quality control methods; capillary punctures and venipuncture; specimen handling; emergency triage and first aid; Send/receive patient medical records; complete forms/requisitions as needed; schedule appointments; verify insurance coverage and patient demographics; assist in answering phone calls; manage and update charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately; work with third party representatives to ensure appropriate stock of DME, supplies and samples for the office. Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education, and a state approved general radiation and protection course.
