About The Position

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Radiology Technologist, PRN. The Radiology/Imaging Services unit provides high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services, including a wide range of medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging techniques to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. The team values and ensures patient care, patient comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols while collaborating with healthcare professionals. Key functions include quality control, adoption of new technologies, maintaining quality control measures for equipment and processes, adhering to strict safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is a 537-bed behavioral health, rehabilitation, and transitional care hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the Johnstown community for over 135 years and is recognized by the American Heart Association with the Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. Requirements

  • Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Radiology – ARRT (R).
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedures.
  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
