Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures. This involves operating x-ray equipment to create radiographs of specified body parts and producing diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. The role also includes documenting patient history, preparing documentation for all completed procedures and reports, and reporting these to the radiologist. The technologist is expected to maintain courtesy, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff, and physicians.
