About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist position at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital involves performing and documenting all diagnostic procedures with a focus on quality studies. The technologist will operate radiographic equipment, ensure compliance with established protocols, and assist in advanced procedures such as fluoroscopy. The position is full-time, with a schedule of 2nd shift from 3-11pm, including rotating weekends, and offers a sign-on bonus of $10,000.

Requirements

• Active IEMA License.
• Minimum experience as a Radiologic Technologist; new graduates accepted.
• Knowledge of general diagnostic radiology.
• Understanding of positioning and technique factors.
• ARRT Registry within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
• Identify patients correctly using two forms of identification before exams.
• Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET before, during, and after exams.
• Document exam charges and verify each exam for interpretation by physicians.
• Maintain patient privacy while obtaining histories and discussing care.
• Perform clerical duties related to scheduling and data entry.
• Adhere to safety standards to protect patients and staff.
• Operate radiographic equipment and optimize image quality.
• Assist in advanced procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
