We are seeking a Radiology Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
  • Valid ARRT certification.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated.
  • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated.
  • Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as appropriate.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
