About The Position

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions and produces diagnostically acceptable films for radiologist interpretation. Documents patient history, prepares documentation of all procedures/reports completed and reports this to the radiologist. Maintains courtesy, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, staff and physicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BCLS certification required.
• Working knowledge of anatomy and principles of physics, electricity, and variations of anatomical postures.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist.
