This position offers an $8,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (Rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible). The hours are 24 flex 32hrs with a shift of Day/Evening, including every third weekend and holiday.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island based on location assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
  • Obtain pertinent information from patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR.
  • Educate patient for exam.
  • Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
  • Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and be aware of MR safety practices.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures.
  • Perform Front Desk and Medical Assistant Functions.
