About The Position

The position involves identifying patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Responsibilities include managing imaging staff licensure, PTO coordination, and day-to-day responsibilities, as well as onboarding incoming imaging staff and maintaining a productive workflow. The role ensures the operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and daily and weekly QA checks, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Additionally, the position maintains radiology supplies inventory, verifies receipt of supplies, and complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements. The individual will also maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies. Other duties include fulfilling research team and/or physician requests, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, preparing patients for procedures, minimizing radiation exposure, adhering to infection-control policies, and documenting patient care services.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed radiologic education with passing of national board certification.
  • Active holder of state license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before individuals or groups.
  • Ability to calculate basic figures and amounts.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of basic computer software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive, cooperative and professional attitude.
