As an RT Student or Float, you need to know how to: Perform X-rays in accordance with Primary Health policies and procedures Display the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and documentation Provide quality patient education based on assessment of needs Perform tests and procedures as ordered Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed Relay provider instructions to patients Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.) Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care Assist or lead in emergency situations Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA Perform other duties as assigned Your experience.
