The position involves maintaining established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance, as well as safety protocols. The individual will prepare written documentation as required by the profession and the department, including evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other necessary reports. Responsibilities also include performing radiographic examinations, checking equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly, and evaluating film for technical quality. The role requires maintaining X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order and notifying the supervisor of major malfunctions in a timely manner. The individual will also maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas, transport patients to the radiographic room, prepare and maintain the room, and request and order supplies as necessary. Professional growth and development are encouraged through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops. Attendance at required meetings and performing other related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the job.
