About The Position

Diagnostic care provided at Rutledge Tower by supporting and providing imaging for outpatient clinics, same day surgeries, and walk in appointments. Ashley River Tower offers imaging for digestive disease, cardiovascular disease, and cancer with inpatient and outpatient options. University Medical Hospital is an 800+ bed hospital with a Level 1 trauma center, transplant service line, neuroscience line, and provided other service that require diagnostic radiology support.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); if not registered, must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, either from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an AHA recognized equivalent, or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology.
• Demonstrates a high degree of technical competency and the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimum supervision.
• Applies ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.
