Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent.
• ARRT or LMRT Certification required.
• Must be a RT. No LMRTs or NCTs.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor.
• Neat, professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

• Student technologist would be beneficial but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
• Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic images as requested by physicians, keeping a repeat rate of 2% or less.
• Uses radiation protection and shielding materials when required.
• Reviews and QAs radiologic images.
• Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean.
• Acts as a liaison between patients, physicians, and medical support staff, demonstrating a caring and professional manner.
• Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies.
• Attends required staff meetings.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Maintains current continuing medical education as required.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager.
