About The Position

This position involves developing skills to perform quality radiographs and patient care. The role may require working in both the main hospital setting and off-site clinic locations, with infrequent travel to cover regional clinic x-ray services. The individual will perform routine imaging examinations in Diagnostic Radiology on a scheduled and emergency basis, adhering to departmental quality control and exam data integrity workflow expectations.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma.
• American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT R) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or eligibility.
• Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) from the Arkansas Department of Health.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Direct work experience in pediatric radiology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates increasing knowledge of correct and acceptable radiographic techniques and positioning.
• Operates all equipment and sets up room/equipment appropriate for the exam ordered.
• Completes patient screening with attention to pregnancy, contrast, and any contraindications.
• Understands and utilizes contrast forms for contrast exams.
• Utilizes designated communication devices and responds appropriately.
• Demonstrates increasing knowledge of all emergency equipment and supplies.
• Raises concerns related to patient care, patient safety, or patient satisfaction to supervisor and leadership in a timely manner.
• Ensures work area is properly maintained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
