About The Position
The staff Diagnostic Technologist works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager. This position performs general radiographic examinations, receives and reviews patient radiology requisitions for diagnosis and examinations requested, selects and operates a variety of x-ray equipment, positions patients and determines radiation exposure factors, assists Radiologist during fluoroscopic examinations, performs film quality control, releases patients, and performs miscellaneous related duties. The position also involves exercising general supervision of the X-Ray Students and performing other duties as assigned. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.
