About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a PRN Radiology Tech for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. This position is PRN with flexible scheduling available from Monday to Friday for evening shifts in the Mallinckrodt Tower (General Diagnostic Department). The role involves using Samsung and Carestream portables equipment and requires availability to work 4 shifts per schedule period (6 weeks) to meet PRN requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R) - Current or obtaining in the next 6 months.
• 2 years experience as a radiologic technologist (preferred).
• CPR certified.
• Able to work independently in the emergency room, performing portable exams or performing exams on in-house patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
