About The Position

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) include: You will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body. Under the supervision of a Radiologist, your role performs x-ray therapy on patients and explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns. Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well. You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric. Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.

Requirements

  • Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program.
  • Current certification by ARRT.
  • Maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Prefer 2 years recent acute care experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT-R Radiography certification.
  • Vocational School Graduate.

Responsibilities
