About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist role at Allegheny Health Network involves performing radiographic imaging procedures independently, providing supervision to staff, and acting as a liaison between physicians and the imaging department. Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) Radiography certification.
• 3 years' experience as a Registered Technologist.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 background clearance certificates.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters for diagnostic radiographic imaging according to established protocols.
• Assist physicians during procedures and prepare contrast media and medications as needed.
• Mentor new staff and improve staff performance through technical expertise.
• Manage human resources, including performance management, scheduling, payroll, and non-labor expenses.
• Maintain a quality assurance program in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Complete documentation for quality control, equipment maintenance, and billing procedures.
• Implement radiation safety and patient safety standards, developing protocols in coordination with relevant departments.
