About The Position

Atrium Health University City provides a range of healthcare services in the University City, Mint Hill, North Mecklenburg and Southwest Cabarrus regions in North Carolina. Our team of professionals brings experience and compassion to all the patients they treat. This position is full-time, with hours from Friday to Sunday, 1:30 PM to 2:00 AM. The position is also sign-on bonus eligible. The pay range for this position is $28.05 - $42.10.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
