About The Position

The position involves performing radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. The role includes coordinating daily activities, performing examinations, and associated clerical duties. The candidate will be responsible for documenting patient history, confirming patient identification, preparing and administering contrast media, consulting with radiologists and other physicians, and maintaining appropriate records as required by departmental standards.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility.
  • Registered by the ARRT required OR if a New Graduate, must be registry eligible and must be registered within 1 year of hire date.
  • 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred.
  • BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Document patient history pertaining to specific procedures.
  • Confirm patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
  • Consult with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Select and operate equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedures.
  • Demonstrate correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintain appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
