About The Position

Atrium Health Mercy, a facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is one of two CMC locations and is 1.3 miles from CMC. For more than 100 years, Atrium Health Mercy has treated patients with a special combination of human compassion and leading-edge medical expertise. Atrium Health Mercy is a full-service community hospital, specializing in the care of seniors and in complex foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee surgery, bariatric surgery, and women's pelvic health. This position is full-time, with a schedule of weekdays from 12 PM to 8:30 PM. The role is eligible for a sign-on bonus based on eligibility. The pay range for this position is $28.05 - $42.10.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
