About The Position

The position is for a full-time Radiologic Technologist within the GCMG One Health: Antiquity - Family Medicine department. The role involves performing radiologic exams as ordered by physicians, adhering to department standard operating procedures, and consulting with radiologists or physicians as necessary. The schedule includes a rotating shift that may require working on weekends, with a total of 40 hours per week and shifts lasting between 10 to 12 hours. The pay range for this position is between $26.10 and $39.15 per hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program required.
• Current registry with ARRT or ability to obtain registry within 6 months of hire date required.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Must maintain current certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic exams as ordered by physician.
• Performs routine exams in accordance with the department standard operating procedures.
• Checks requisitions for physician notes and/or special instructions.
• Consults with Radiologist or physician as necessary.
• Selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
• Operates equipment as directed by demands of individual exams.
• Assists in maintaining adequate patient records.
• Obtains specimens and performs certain diagnostic laboratory tests as ordered by physician.
• Prepares specimens for transport to Medical Center or State Lab for procedures not performed at the specific facility.
