About The Position

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, distinguished throughout the Southeast for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. From its modest beginnings in 1943, CMC evolved into the largest hospital in the region and a world-class facility that offers a full range of services to the Charlotte community and beyond, with more than 1,100 physicians and providers specializing in all areas of medicine. CMC serves as the region's only Level 1 trauma center and is an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. We are also one of North Carolina's five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serving as a regional campus for the Wake Forest. This position is part-time, requiring 24 hours per week, with a schedule of Saturday - Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Call and holiday rotation is required. This position is also sign-on bonus eligible, based on eligibility. The pay range for this position is $28.05 - $42.10.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
