Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program or similar type, preferred.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Imaging Staff, assists with patient care duties.
  • Assists staff with the cleaning of equipment after each patient.
  • Duties may include greeting patients, directing patients to designated changing areas, and giving verbal instructions on changing for examinations.
  • Keep patients cared for in a timely manner and keep them informed of any delays and wait times while ensuring all work areas kept stocked and organized.
  • Transport patients as needed.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and medical records, while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  • Report any issues with IT equipment, faxes, phones, etc to imaging staff.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of infection control practices for patients, self, and staff.
  • Assists with clerical functions related to Meditech and PACS such as scanning documents, burning or uploading CDs.
  • Assists with image loan requests as necessary.
  • Understands policies and procedures for Diagnostic Imaging and Hospital.
  • Practices all patient interactions with compassion while adhering to double identifier practices.
  • Informed and aware of all COVID & Infection Control processes.
