About The Position

Under the direction of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, Radiology Team Leader, or Radiology Section Manager, the Radiology Technologist 1 performs radiographic procedures according to protocols established for various age groups of patients, at a technical level requiring supervision of technical detail. This role involves performing a variety of general technical radiographic procedures that will require judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. The technologist assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required and assesses the age-specific needs of the patients. The position has no call duties and no surgical procedures, with no weekend rotation. All job duties are performed in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program from an accredited school.
  • ARRT registry eligible.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Temp Florida Licensure or will have 90 days to become temp or regular licensed to practice as Radiologic Technologist by State of Florida.
  • Will not be able to perform exams prior to evidence of licensure.
