How you’ll contribute Identify patients by name and birth date. Reviews order for clinical and demographic consistency and verify accuracy. Interviews patient for clinical history, reviews of previous procedures and documents relevant history for the Radiologist. Explain procedures to patients. Explain and obtain consent for contrast if needed. Prepares patient for procedure ensures prep performed if needed and checks for any artifact-producing objects. Correctly position patient for examination to be performed. Orders/performs correct examination. Performs procedures in accordance with established protocols and in a timely manner. Correctly operates radiology equipment. reparation/administration of oral and IV contrast. Performs venipuncture utilizing sterile technique (for those with the competency). Recognizes and responds to emergency situations. Requirements

  • Must become ARRT registered within 3 months of hire if not already registered.
  • BLS within 3 months of hire.
  • Cross-trained as a CT within one year of hire.
