Optum NV is seeking a Radiology Technician to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. We are offering a $3,000 sign on bonus and a Monday- Friday schedule. The Radiology Technician supports patient care by performing diagnostic X ray procedures in accordance with physician orders, department protocols, and quality and safety standards. This role requires solid attention to detail, commitment to patient experience, and collaboration with clinical and operational teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or an accepted equivalent
  • ARRT and state licensure

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a surgery center setting
  • Experience working in a radiology clinic with a focus on performing X ray procedures
  • Experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • Experience in an ASC or acute surgical setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X ray imaging following physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Verify imaging orders and communicate any discrepancies or changes with providers and appropriate staff
  • Greet, correctly identify, and prepare patients for examinations
  • Confirm exam details and provider information with patients prior to imaging
  • Explain procedures clearly and professionally while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate imaging records using Radiology Information Systems (RIS),Epic , and PACS/Synapse in compliance with HIPAA and established Optum policies
  • Review images for technical quality and diagnostic accuracy in alignment with department quality assurance and technologist guidelines
  • Operate radiology equipment, including C arm, portable, and mini C arm units
  • Adhere to radiation safety practices and assist in the management of the radiation safety program
  • Maintain radiology equipment and coordinate service needs as required
  • Keep imaging and work areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Prepare and release copies of images and preliminary reports according to department protocols
  • Follow all workplace safety standards and established work practices
  • Maintain reliable attendance aligned with assigned schedules
  • Complete required fit testing, TB testing, mandatory web based training, and maintain all required licenses and certifications
  • Support other imaging modalities, locations, shifts, or schedules as assigned, based on training, certification, licensure, and operational needs
  • Demonstrate Optum’s values in daily interactions with patients, providers, and colleagues
