Hudson Regional Health is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to provide comprehensive care to patients requiring medical imaging services. The role involves managing the delivery of care and ensuring patient safety while educating patients about procedures. The technologist will communicate changes in patient conditions, perform patient transports, obtain and document patient histories, and produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation. The position requires adherence to infection control standards and proper body mechanics during all activities. Additionally, the technologist will perform quality control testing for the radiology department and maintain records for state inspections.

  • Provides comprehensive care to patients requiring medical imaging services.
  • Manages delivery of care and patient safety.
  • Educates and explains procedures to patients.
  • Communicates any changes in patient’s condition to the patient care area.
  • Follows appropriate department protocol for procedures.
  • Performs patient transports using stretchers or wheelchairs when needed.
  • Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information.
  • Ensures patient privacy.
  • Completes work within an acceptable time frame.
  • Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Responds effectively in emergency situations.
  • Adheres to infection control standards.
  • Obtains necessary patient consent for IV contrast.
  • Uses proper body mechanics during all activities.
  • Assures appropriate lab work and informed consent is on the patient chart.
  • Performs radiography.
  • Performs quality control testing for the radiology department.
  • Records and adheres to state required testing and record keeping for annual inspections.
  • Graduate from an AMA approved Radiology School/Program.
  • Completion of RTBE/JRCERT approved Radiology School/Program.
  • Valid NJ Radiology License.
  • AART Certification.
  • 0 - 1 years of work experience required; 2 - 4 years preferred.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Proficiency in OR.
