Hudson Regional Health is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to provide comprehensive care to patients requiring medical imaging services. The role involves managing the delivery of care and ensuring patient safety while educating patients about procedures. The technologist will perform patient transports, document patient history, and produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation across all patient demographics. The position requires adherence to infection control standards and proper body mechanics during all activities. The technologist will also perform quality control testing for the radiology department and maintain compliance with state-required testing and record-keeping for annual inspections.

  • Provides comprehensive care to patients requiring medical imaging services.
  • Manages delivery of care and patient safety.
  • Educates and explains procedures to patients.
  • Communicates changes in patient’s condition to the patient care area.
  • Follows department protocol for procedures as specified by the radiologist.
  • Performs patient transports using stretchers or wheelchairs when needed.
  • Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information.
  • Ensures patient privacy.
  • Completes work within an acceptable time frame.
  • Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation on all segments of the patient population.
  • Responds effectively in emergency situations.
  • Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
  • Obtains necessary patient consent for IV contrast.
  • Uses proper body mechanics during all activities.
  • Assures appropriate lab work and informed consent is on the patient chart.
  • Performs radiography.
  • Performs quality control testing for the radiology department.
  • Records and adheres to state-required testing and record-keeping for annual inspections.
  • Graduate from an AMA approved Radiology School/Program.
  • Completion of RTBE/JRCERT approved Radiology School/Program (required).
  • 0 - 1 years of work experience (required).
  • 2 - 4 years of work experience (preferred).
  • Valid NJ Radiology License.
  • AART Certification (required).
  • BLS Certification (preferred).
