About The Position

The Overlake Newcastle Clinic is a busy, fast-paced, and growing Urgent Care and Primary Care Clinic. They are seeking an experienced, energetic, and compassionate Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) to join the Urgent Care team and help serve the Newcastle community. The Rad Tech will perform a variety of radiographic procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative, as well as diagnostic exams within established guidelines. The role requires the ability to provide services appropriate for all ages of patients. In addition to x-ray responsibilities, the Rad Tech will room patients, conduct blood draws, and perform other clinical skills within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice, with training provided if needed. The position works under the direction of the Clinic Manager/Supervisor, Provider, or appropriate staff to provide basic patient care to assigned patients. The clinic is conveniently located within walking distance to Newcastle Commons.

Requirements

  • ARRT Registry required (or registry eligible)
  • Annual renewal of ARRT required by OMC, with evidence of same by primary source verification
  • Washington State Certification as Radiologic Technologist (RT) is required
  • Biannual renewal of RT state license required by DOH and OMC, with evidence of same by primary source verification
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification required
  • Good working knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on Word, Excel, billing, EMR systems and other programs related to the position
  • Proof of full COVID-19 immunization as a condition of employment (required before first day of employment)

Nice To Haves

  • AA/BA/BS degree through an accredited Radiology program preferred
  • Two years of related clinical experience preferred
