Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, it performs Radiographic examinations as ordered by the patient's attending physician. Assesses patients, assists the Radiologist in performing fluoroscopic procedures, prepares films for interpretation, maintains patients and departmental records, supplies and equipment. Requirements

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program
  • ARRT registered in good standing
  • Current State of Florida License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills in order to project a positive image of the department and hospital.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand principles of physics, electricity, and methods of exposure to obtain clearly defined radiographs; and be able to set up and operate all types of equipment that will be used in a modern Radiology Department.
  • Must know how to process radiographs.
  • Should have sufficient knowledge of psychology, patient care, and sterile techniques to deal with all types of conditions of patients.
  • Hospital Radiology Technician experience preferred.
