About The Position

The Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by a radiologist. The technologist ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT (R) certification required.
  • Current State Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through AHA required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology experience preferred
  • Strong technical and anatomical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Position patients correctly and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
  • Verify patient identity and review imaging requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment; report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Provide compassionate patient care and ensure a positive imaging experience.
  • Assist radiologists and other healthcare providers as needed during procedures.
  • Adhere to all hospital, state, and federal regulations including HIPAA compliance.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with imaging techniques and safety protocols.
