Shriners Children's Erie has a full time opportunity available for a Radiology Technologist to join our team! As a Radiology Tech at Shriners, you will be working with patients from 3 months of age through 18 years old. The position is Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm; no weekends, no holidays or on-call requirement. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric patients. This may include fractures, diseases, and abnormalities of patient anatomy.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Fluoroscopy s required by state only
  • Board eligible candidates to sit for the ARRT, RT (R) credential may be hired as long as they can show they have successfully completed the educational/clinical requirements.
  • Must pass registry boards within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced.
  • Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
  • Responsible for communication and documentation of patient images.
  • Maintain communication with patients, parents, and medical personnel.
  • Maintains on-going plan for personal growth and self-development.
  • Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work related events.
