Radiology Tech, X-Rays Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together THIS POSITION IS SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033 Work hours: 40 hours weekly working the day shift- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 0730-1800. Position has call and holiday schedule requirements. Department Highlights: Interprofessional Partner of Excellence for Teamwork for all of THR Frisco. Requirements
- Associate degree preferred
- 1-2 years of hospital experience
- 1-year radiologic technologist experience preferred, with X-ray experience being highly preferred
- Able to perform high quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner, which includes general radiologic exams, fluoro procedures, and OR rotation.
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire Required And
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists 6 Months Required And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
Nice To Haves
- Strong C-Arm and O-Arm skills preferred
Responsibilities
- Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam
- Positions patient to correct anatomical area of interest
- Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations
- Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
- Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors
- Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique
- Exchanges and maintenance of film badges within designated time frames
- Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments, or repeat procedures as needed
