About The Position

The position involves applying prescribed ionizing radiation to perform radiologic procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision of technical detail for diagnostic purposes under the prescription of a physician. The role is critical in ensuring high-quality imaging for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements

• ARRT, or registry eligible
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
• Training specific to the operation of radiology equipment
• Displays competence in dealing with unique needs of patients and clinicians
• Current WA State Radiologic Technologist licensure

• 1 year of experience in radiology setting

Responsibilities

• Sets, adjusts and controls radiology equipment to apply ionizing radiation for radiologic procedures.
• Measures and selects proper electronics and technical factors such as kilovolts, milliamperes and exposure time.
• Consistently produces high quality images and interprets technical quality of images as related to quality assurance standards.
• Analyzes patient's general body size, physical condition and age to accurately perform radiologic examinations.
• Under direction of a physician, and with appropriate licensure, may inject contrast material and/or medication.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
