About The Position

The Radiology Tech provides technical skills involving radiology (may include fluoroscopy); Takes and may develop radiographs of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of disease or injury. The Radiology Tech will work closely with providers and other care teams and play a key role in diagnosing patients' medical conditions. They must be able to position patients and use equipment skillfully to capture useful, high-quality diagnostic images.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or a diploma, certificate, or associate degree in your chosen discipline.
  • One or more (1+) years of experience in a related field.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. We are unable to provide work visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). Specialty ARRT certification(s) are required for the position. State licensure if required by law.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider-level CPR certification.
  • Maintains all required licensures and certifications for the position.
  • Maintains all continuing education requirements.
  • Must be able to work in person.
  • Must be able to travel to alternate locations as assigned.
  • Strong organizational and personal skills.
  • Strong medical terminology knowledge and skills.
  • Strong knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of value-based care and risk-based coding procedures in Primary Care.
  • Strong knowledge of medication and injection procedures.
  • Ability to safely administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
  • Ability to use various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.
  • Ability to accurately take and record vital signs.
  • Ability to accurately reconcile patient medications.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Two or more (2+) years of experience in a related area/specialty.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking.
  • EPIC, Kronos, and HealthStream experience.

Responsibilities

  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning the patient and repeating the procedure. Enters and transmits images as needed.
  • Cleans exam rooms and other patient care areas between each patient.
  • Maintains work areas, exam rooms, supplies, equipment, medications, and immunizations.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
