As a Radiology Technologist — Non Registered, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a high-acuity environment, build ARRT/modality-specific competency, and advance along a clear pathway to the Radiology Technologist (Registered) role as soon as you meet eligibility requirements. This position is designed as temporary-to-registered, with strong mentorship from experienced technologists and leaders. Essential Functions Practice within the scope of state licensure and program requirements, under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Maintain ARRT or modality‑specific competency across clinical and technical functions. Ensure proper patient identification and order verification; prepare patients and provide clear, compassionate education. Perform diagnostic exams per department protocol and review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy. Perform all diagnostic procedures within Scope of Practice under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines; maintain a safe working environment for patients and caregivers. Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or image quality. Provide appropriate patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns; recognize and respond to emergent situations. Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques for every procedure. Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to produce/store high‑quality diagnostic images. Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions. Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. This role is intended as a temporary position only, with the expectation that the caregiver will advance to the Radiology Tech — Registered position as soon as possible.
