Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- State of Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist and Technician License
- BLS Certification
- Current ARRT
Responsibilities
- Performs and produces high-quality exams on patients of all ages including portable and C-Arm procedures in the OR.
- Accurately positions body parts, uses appropriate exposures, and collimation.
- Utilizes Meditech to complete all necessary paperwork, edits exams as necessary.
- Reviews images in PACS to and follows procedures to prepare a study for interpretation.
- Practices radiation safety measures for patients, staff and self.
- Assists radiologist with exams and with administration of contrast agents to patients of all ages, following department protocol.
- Performs related radiology services functions in an accurate and timely manner.
- Cleans equipment after every patient.
- Stays motivated to keep patients cared for in a timely manner.
- All work areas are kept stocked and organized.
- Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and the medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
- Helps to supervise Radiologic Technology students.
- Provide clinical advice to Radiology clerical staff as needed.
- Performs related duties, assists others as needed for the smooth operation of the department.
- Assists with cloud PACS medical imaging sharing and assists with burning and uploading CD's.
