About The Position

The Radiology Tech II CT is responsible for performing and monitoring CT procedures under the general supervision of the Unit Coordinator CT. This role involves executing CT procedures on all assigned shifts as scheduled and is subject to overtime and call back as circumstances dictate. Key aspects of the position include ensuring the proper segregation and safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste, contributing to a positive work climate, and maintaining a "CAN DO" attitude.

Requirements

Skills and proficiency in the technical field of Radiologic Technology.
Completion of a 2 year accredited AMA approved Radiology Technology Program (ARRT).
Current CPR certification.
Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Must be registered with ARRT within one year of employment.
Responsible for maintaining current certification with the ARRT.
Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures.
Ability to perform CT procedures as acquired through 6 months of job training.

Responsibilities

Performs all CT Scan procedures.
Conducts daily calibration checks including electronic calibration.
Prepares and administers contrast media during examinations.
Reconciles, acquires, and processes images in the Radiology PACS setting.
Proficient with Power Chart.
Applies appropriate functions and applications within the Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
Performs related responsibilities as required or directed by Unit Coordinator and/or Manager.
Complete annual check off for Aspiration - Irrigation of Drains/Chest Tubes.
Ensures the proper segregation and safe disposal of hazardous pharmaceutical waste.
Contributes to a positive work climate and to the overall effort of the department and maintains a "CAN DO" attitude.
Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
