Job Overview: Under the direction of the Imaging Director and Medical Director; responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Radiology Dept to include the areas of: Imaging, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, Ultrasound, and Special Procedures and the freestanding Emergency Department. Assists the Director with long range planning and projections. Provides reports and analysis of radiology stats. Maintains quality control measures, Performance Improvement, PACS administration, charge reconciliation, equipment maintenance and staff preparedness. Actively participates in the budgeting of new equipment and staffing to improve productivity, minimize exposure and eliminate waste.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 3 years experience in a supervisory / lead role preferred.
  • Acute care experienced and Quality Metrics experience preferred.
  • Licensed and in good standing with one of the following ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS and in good standing with the Florida State Department of Health.
  • Moderate computer skills required
  • Excellent communication / reasoning skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to learn new tasks such as Registration of patients, Charge reconciliation, Risk Event management, QA/QC management etc.
  • Willingness to take ownership in the FED and Imaging Department environments and all daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • 24/7 responsibility for staffing and on-call schedules.
  • Interviews and recommends for hire new professional staff.
  • Develops and maintains departmental training files for regulatory compliance.
  • In conjunction with Director, assures compliance to regulatory standards and develops department meeting and communicates same to 24/7 staff.
  • Provide patient services and fill in as needed in a clinical role.
  • Fills in for Director as needed assuming his/her role during absences.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
