Monitors and reports daily aspects of imaging services. Assists Manager of Operations in coordinating daily operations to maximize quality of patient care / imaging quality, ensuring proper equipment performance, guaranteeing safe and clean equipment, and controlling the cost of providing service. Schedules TM work assignments. Assists MO with team members evaluations and education. Will oversee multi-modalities, regardless of individual licensure. A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Technologist Serves with compassion and provides excellent patient care Efficiently conducts prescribed diagnostic scans of patients and produces quality images that are able to be read by Radiologists or referring physicians Displays expertise in using multiple types of units (ie. Siemens, GE, etc.) to effectively conduct prescribed scans and may regularly work at different customer sites Coaches and trains Technologists and Trainees on effective methods for scanning patients and reliably producing readable scans Conducts Clinical Competency Evaluations for Lead Technologists, Technologists and Trainees as requested by Manager of Operations or Director of Operations (only for modalities in which the Supervisor is credentialed) Stands behind their integrity and works with an ethical approach Continually educates themselves to the business Builds relationships with customers and team members to influence situations to impact customer/patient/TM experience. Provide feedback both positive and negative to provide performance feedback. Effective and efficient at using standard PC operations including email, to communicate and be productive. Demonstrates accountability and takes personal responsibility for results. Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and with customers on a regular and routine basis. Highly effective time management skills and ability to multi-task efficiently. Physical Requirements: The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during transport of patients if working on a mobile unit. The employee will be exposed to radioactive isotopes and ionizing radiation. May be exposed to radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, walk. Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs. See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients. Less than 50% of the time: Stoop, kneel or crawl. Climb and balance. Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
