About The Position

The position ensures that all activities associated with x-ray staff and quality diagnostic orthopedic x-rays are achieved. The role involves providing X-rays ordered by providers, maintaining proper use of x-ray equipment, and establishing professional relationships with physicians and clinical staff. Additionally, the position includes teaching X-ray students, assisting clinical staff with PACS, and maintaining EMR imaging duties.

Requirements

  • Radiologic Technologist, may be licensed or registry eligible.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Current certification in CPR encouraged.
  • Ability to perform quality diagnostic x-rays.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic x-rays in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to communicate and document clearly and concisely.
  • Flexibility in leading self and others reporting to supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide X-rays ordered by the providers.
  • Ensure quality X-rays including correct image, right or left markers, patient ID, and provider.
  • Maintain proper use of x-ray equipment, CR, DR, and PACS.
  • Communicate with the x-ray director regarding concerns or operational questions/problems.
  • Establish professional relationships with physicians, co-workers, and clinical staff.
  • Teach X-ray students how to perform X-rays, patient care, and workflow in the clinical X-ray setting.
  • Help clinical staff with PACS, including importing and burning CDs.
  • Assist clinical staff when not busy with x-rays.
  • Maintain EMR imaging duties and medical records release form with CD requests.
  • Order x-ray supplies when necessary.
  • Responsible for new hire training for x-ray techs and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Conduct x-ray staff evaluations, one-on-ones, and observations.
  • Act as a Clinical Instructor for students if licensed.
  • Maintain current RT cards within the supervising region.
  • Serve as PACS superuser, training providers and clinical/x-ray staff.
  • Manage weekly x-ray staff schedules to reflect PTO coverage and provider clinic schedules.
  • Approve PTO for x-ray staff.
  • Communicate with other x-ray supervisors for proper staffing.
  • Address issues or concerns with x-ray staff and/or doctors/PAs/NPs.
  • Work at other Resurgens’ sites when necessary.
  • Distribute, collect, and mail in quarterly dosimetry badges for x-ray staff.
  • Check and approve payroll for proper attendance and EAFs.
  • Document Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) when necessary.
  • Cover for other x-ray Supervisors and/or Directors when needed.
