SUMMARY Responsible for direction and control of the work standards in the Invasive Vascular area. Responsible for personnel in the Invasive Vascular area and all Invasive Vascular procedures.

Requirements

  • RN preferred or Intervention Radiologic Technologist with Current ARRT certification /Current SCRQSA license
  • Preferred three to five years' experience in invasive vascular or procedural area within the hospital environment.
  • Ability to operate imaging equipment and produce quality images.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties outlined in the Invasive vascular tech/ RN job description.
  • Monitors work performance in designated areas
  • Manages patient flow
  • Monitors imaging process and paper flow
  • Interacts with radiologists and other referring physicians
  • Monitors supply inventory orders all supplies for area requests accessories and other large items through department manager/director evaluates cost containment measures.
  • Schedules all personnel in responsible areas
  • Troubleshoots equipment for responsible areas
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of all assigned areas
  • Demonstrates new equipment
  • Maintains and updates procedure manual
  • Performs radiographic procedures on patients of every age as necessary
  • Orients new employeesPerforms 30-day evaluations
  • Performs annual evaluations & Monitors productivity
  • Practices and monitors universal precautions
  • Schedules and monitors personnel for annual safety update
  • Investigates problem situations
  • Completes incident reports as required and completes a counsel form regarding incident
  • Monitors and controls mash system
  • Reviews responsibility report each accounting period
  • Participates in the interview process as required
  • Attends supervisors meetings as scheduled
  • Assists with budget preparation as needed
  • Collects QA data as required for each accounting period
  • Monitors time/attendance of personnel
  • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory issues and insure compliance with same.
  • Demonstrates cost effectiveness in the use of supplies and equipment as indicated by minimum wastage of supplies.
  • Contributes to the time management of the department by being punctual to work and on assignments according to the hospital standards.
  • Demonstrates the importance of wearing employee identification badges.
  • Demonstrates competency in the use of RIS, PACS and any other information system as required
  • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures related to specific job function; acts as resource to other staff and new personnel.
  • Participates in professional development by maintaining clinical competency and completes mandatory medicacenter and departmental reviews. Maintains continuing education credits as required by governing board
