Radiology Specialist
About The Position
The purpose of this job is to coordinate and direct all compliance functions within the Department of Diagnostic of Imaging to include Joint Commission, State and Federal agencies. Monitors and reporting of Patient Safety and Quality activities. Oversee radiation badges. Organizing continuing education for the department. Review coding and billing codes, dictated radiology reports, technologist charging and documentation in EPIC in areas for non-compliance. Monitor educational professional requirements. Assist with revenue cycle activities. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
- Accredited Radiography program preferred.
- Equivalent experience in the management of Imaging records/processes or a more advanced operational role within the Imaging department.
- Staff Radiology Technologist level minimum of 5 years’ radiology/clinical experience and/or 5 years’ experience preferred in a more advanced operational role within the Imaging department.
- None unless RT.
- RT must have a Certification by American Registry of Radiologic technologists; Must remain in good standing with the ARRT.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.
