This is a full-time position primarily based at our Eagan Campus. Must be flexible to float to other Summit locations as needed: Plymouth, Woodbury, Vadnais Heights and Minnetonka Campuses. 10 hour shifts, Monday - Thursday with a schedule of 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (subject to change). Summit Orthopedics provides the Twin Cities, Greater Minnesota and Western Wisconsin with the full spectrum of orthopedic care including sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Orthopedic Urgent Care clinics, imaging, bracing, therapy, surgery, and post-surgical stays at our Care Suites. Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology with current ARRT registration.
Responsibilities
- Prepares rooms and patients, specific to the exam to be performed.
- Properly sets up equipment, trays, supplies, positions patients, and determines proper exposure factors in order to produce high quality images.
- Handles all radiologic equipment safely and properly, keeping dose to patient as low as possible.
- Maintains appropriate supplies in the procedure rooms.
- Uses an established work pattern to work efficiently and safely within the special procedures setting.
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures.
- Positions patients and takes X-Rays of specific parts of the body as requested by the physician.
- Maintains daily log books, and monthly reports as requested/required.
- Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.
- Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
