About The Position

The Radiology Services Coordinator will act as a liaison between the Radiologists, Providers, Technologists, Facility Managers, and vendors. The Radiology Services Coordinator will ensure compliance with all OSHA, Joint Commission and State radiation protection requirements for ionizing x-ray and advanced imaging to include CT within the Novant Health Acute Care. He/she will work with teammates and outside vendors to ensure equipment is maintained according to manufacturer guidelines, develop and oversee quality assurance initiatives per ACR standards, guides facilities in achieving and maintaining ACR accreditation, assists in training of Radiologic Technologists and developing competency documentation. He/she will assist in the development of educational and training programs, in conjunction with the needs of the region, facility, or technologist as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in Radiology, Business or Healthcare administration required.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program required.
  • Minimum of five years in a hospital/physician practice radiology department required.
  • Previous experience in quality assessment and/or project management required.
  • Experience with Epic and McKesson PACS required.
  • ARRT Certified from Rad Tech Program required.
  • Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment, Quality Assurance/Compliance, policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to evaluate images and assist in improving quality.
  • Analytical ability and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of federal and state radiation safety regulations.
  • Ability to interpret information to identify patient care requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Maternal-Fetal Sonography.
  • Detailed experience with American College of Radiology Ultrasound Accreditation Program.
  • Project Management Experience.
