About The Position

The Radiology Service Technician I position at Texas Health Fort Worth is a full-time role that requires a passion for improving health in the community. The technician will work primarily during the day shift from Monday to Friday, with on-call expectations. The role involves local travel between Texas Health Resources hospital facilities and clinics, and the technician will support diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Information Technology Management, or related field required, or successful completion of military BMET training.
  • 1 year of experience servicing diagnostic imaging systems, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record upon hire.
  • Completion of Networking + Foundation Course (2 years required).

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) upon hire preferred.
  • Completed OEM technical training in diagnostic imaging, including radiology, mammography, CT, ultrasound, networking, PACS, and/or DICOM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) for imaging ultrasound equipment.
  • Repair, onboard, and calibrate ultrasound imaging equipment.
  • Inform lead of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer concerns.
  • Manage the exchange and repair of ultrasound probes.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships and discuss equipment status with clinicians.
  • Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status and verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment.
  • Conduct Incoming Inspections to maintain an accurate inventory of medical devices.
